The Fairfax County Employees Advisory Council sponsors two Bazaars every year, one in the Spring (just before Easter) and one in the Fall (just before Thanksgiving). The Bazaars are held at the Government Center on the 1st floor, both the north and south sides of the Atrium.
The shows are open to the general public, but Crafters are limited only to Fairfax County employees, retirees and their immediate family members. The funds (monies received for spaces) raised through this bazaar are used by the EAC for the benefit of County Employees. Items sold must be non-flammable in order to meet fire regulations. Items sold cannot be illegal or counterfeit.
Each space measures at least 6'x6'. Please bring your own tables and chairs, as they are NOT provided. If you need the use of electricity you MUST use a surge protector and state so on your application. The cost is $30 per space.
Fairfax County regulations require that all promoters of bazaars provide a listing of participants to the Office of Tax Administration.
Vendors participating in the show may need a Business, Professional and Occupational license (BPOL). To determine if you are required to file for a BPOL, please contact the Department of Tax Administration 703-222-8234 at or via the internet at www.fairfaxcounty.gov/dta.
