Election to fill EAC Vacancies
Elections will be held to select the representatives of the Employee Advisory Council (EAC) for Groups 2, 3, 4 and 11. More information below.
Group 2 is the Fire and Rescue Department (uniformed).
Group 3 is Land Development Services (LDS), Department of Public Work and Environmental Services (DPWES) and Facilities Management Department (FMD).
Group 4 is Park Authority, Department of Vehicle Services (DVS), Department of Procurement & Materials Management (DPMM) and the Reston and Mclean Community Centers.
Group 11 is Public Safety Civilians (Police, Fire Sheriff and Animal Sheltering), Department of Emergency Management and Security (DEMS) and Public Safety Communication.
The term of office for the representatives is three years which begins on June 1, 2024.
Instructions on the nomination process and eligibility are included with the attached petition. It is not necessary for each eligible employee to receive a petition, but employees must be made aware of the election and their opportunity to nominate a candidate.
Petitions and campaign statements must be received no later than 4:30 p.m.,

Any petitions or campaign statements received after that time will not be accepted, so it is recommended that petitions and campaign statements be hand-carried to Suite 270 to ensure that they arrive on time. No FAX transmissions will be accepted. If two or more candidates are nominated, the election will be held in the May time frame of 2024.
Ballots and other information will be made available at a later date.
