My name is Tenisha Carter, and I am honored to serve as your Group 09 EAC Representative.
I have proudly served Fairfax County for more than 24 years in a variety of roles, including Pretrial Investigator, Arraignment Officer, Pretrial Evaluation Unit Jail Manager, and now as a Pretrial Evaluation Supervisor II with the Court Services Division of the General District Court.
Throughout my career, I have worked closely with justice-involved individuals, families, law enforcement, and community partners to educate, support, and collaborate in finding alternatives to detention and incarceration. I am passionate about connecting individuals to community resources and change agents that foster positive outcomes.
In my current role as Supervisor II, I focus on training, coaching, and guiding staff and stakeholders on the pretrial evaluation process. My goal is to strengthen collaboration and improve outcomes for all individuals involved in the justice system.
I have a strong background as an advocator for both staff and the public, and I will bring that same focus and energy to my current role as your representative. I am also committed to bringing people together and creating a workplace that is both supportive and enjoyable for everyone.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling, connecting with family and friends, attending concerts, and discovering new places to shop.
I’m always happy to connect! Feel free to reach out at tenisha.carter@fairfaxcounty.gov or 703-246-3009 with your suggestions, concerns, or questions.
